Jason Garlick is Of Counsel with the firm. Jason received his B.A. from the University of California, Davis in 1992 with High Honors, and his J.D. in 1997 from the UCLA School of Law. He is a member of the California Bar.

After graduating law school, Jason joined the corporate group at Fenwick & West's prestigious Palo Alto office, servicing that firm's high technology clients in a range equity and debt financings (representation of both company and investor clients including company-side initial public offering), mergers (private-private, public-private and public-public), public securities filings, licensing matters (including distribution agreements, co-branding agreements, affiliate agreements, development agreements, terms of use and privacy policies), intellectual property strategy development, employment agreements, option plan administration and other general corporate agreements and documents. Subsequently, Jason joined Speedera Networks, Inc., where he was General Counsel until 2003. Speedera had the world's most widely distributed network of computer servers and was eventually acquired by Akamai for over $100 million.

Jason's expertise covers a broad swath of corporate and financial transactions, including venture capital and angel financings, mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnering arrangements, private placements of equity and debt securities and a wide range of general corporate issues, including executive employment agreements, stock incentive plans and various commercial contracts.
